Web development trends in 2020
3.0 Ruby
Ruby 3.0 will include updates with a tentative release date for Christmas 2020, making programming even more fun for developers. These include -optimization of performance-changes in concurrency,-static analysis,-backward compatibility, and more.
Rails 6
Yes, Ruby on Rails is no longer viewed as the “next big thing” in web development. However, it is still here for a decade-plus since its first release, powering both MVPs and RoR 6 with features such as Action Text, Action Mailbox, parallel tests, support for multi databases, and more. We already published a few Ruby on Rails 6 tutorials. We are planning to continue working on them to make things easier for developers who want to take advantage of the framework’s update.
Voice search optimization
As early as 2016, 20% of Google’s total searches were done via voice search. We can only estimate the number that has already increased with the recent (and rising) popularity of Google Assistant tools and expect it to continue to grow in 2020.
